Sustaining our environment

Who Cares about the Environment in 2006?

Who Cares about the Environment in 2006? is a survey of NSW people's environmental knowledge, attitudes and behaviours.

In 2006, people value the environment highly as part of their lives and almost 90% are concerned about environmental problems, with water related issues - water supply, conservation, management and drought - being the top environmental issues for the people of NSW, and climate change and energy issues growing rapidly in importance.

The 2006 survey also explores the concepts of 'environment' and 'sustainability' in more depth as well as examines the motivations, triggers and barriers people have to adopting environmentally friendly behaviour.
